Call to Artist

“Transformation of the Mundane!”

Create an art piece using an item from Everyday Life in your piece.

It must be ready to hang.

This show will run Thursday June 26th —Thursday July 31st in The Artists’ Nook Gallery with the Art Opening on Friday June 27 th 6 pm – 9 pm .

Details:

This challenge is open to all artists.

Entry fee for each piece entered: $15 or PRAC Studio Artists $10

Artwork must be to The Artists' Nook no later than Saturday June 21st.

Store hours are: 10 am - 6 pm Thurs- Sat

 

Mail in entries are accepted.

The Artists’ Nook will :

  1. The Artists’ Nook will send Press Releases to: Fort Collins Coloradoan, Loveland Reporter-Herald, Rocky Mountain Chronicle & Fort Collins Now newspapers
  2. The Artists’ Nook will create a Postcard for the Art showing with show dates, art opening dates & times and image(s) of the artist artwork. This postcard will be emailed to the artist to email out to their customer base, post on their website, etc.
  3. The Artists’ Nook will provide each artist at their request with up to 40 postcards to mail or pass out to friends, family, and leave at establishments they frequent, coffee shops, restaurants, or anywhere you can.
  4. The Artists’ Nook will provide Labels for the artwork and Hang the art.
  5. The Artists’ Nook will provide beverages for the Art Opening.
  6. The Artists’ Nook will take all precautions to ensure the safety of your artwork. The Artists’ Nook has limited insurance and will not be responsible for unusual circumstances that cause damage, loss or stolen artwork. We never have had any instances of such. The Artist assumes their own responsibility of the liabilities associated with the rental.
  7. The Artists’ Nook will process all sales of the artwork at a 10% commission. We accept the following credit cards: Discover, Visa & MasterCard.

 

The Artist’s Responsibilities :

  1. It is requested that each artist attend the Art Opening
  2. Provide Light Snacks for Art Opening
  3. Provide The Artists’ Nook with an image (JPEG) of their artwork to be used in press releases & postcard. Artist must have the image emailed or on a CD to The Artists’ Nook no later than June 1st (3 weeks prior to the opening of the art show) to be included in the press releases & advertising of the Art show.
  4. Artwork will be viewed by all ages so keep this in mind when you are creating your art piece to display
