It is time to start thinking about creating in the new year!

I am reading a book called “The Gifts of Imperfections” by Brene Brown.   

It is about Wholehearted living.  Basically, how to get the most out of life.  She talks about many things we can do in our lives to live a more fulfilled life instead a life that is filled up with things that don’t fill us up.

One of the fulfilling things of Wholehearted living, is being creative.  Some people are not creative, they think cannot be creative.  She shares how important it is to find creativity in your life and do it.  Make it easy, playful but just do something. 

We as artists have creativity, but tend to make it a job, put it last on our to do list or have stopped having fun with our creations.  For the new year, we need to make time, be playful and create!

I am offering an intimate sized (only 4 max) Precious Metal Clay Pendant workshop this Sunday Dec 4th at my Loveland Home Studio from 1 pm to 5 pm.  See info below.

We are sneaking into the Holiday season. 

I overheard a conversation yesterday at work between two co-workers about whether Santa or Snowmen are the better symbol of Christmas.  This is a commercialized version of Christmas.

I had to interject my 2 cents, that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus.  He came to earth to teach us about unconditional love by example.

So don’t get sucked into the craziness of the commercialized Christmas.  Shared the love this Christmas Season.

 I took a long walk by Boyd Lake surrounding by colorful leaves, grasshoppers and snow capped mountains.

We have it all in Colorado that is for sure!

 Mid-Week the first snowfall is forecast-ed! Really snow…….

Ok, we have to admit the Holiday season is upon us.

I have posted my workshop schedule for the end of the year with some of my great gift giving ideas!

Then starting the new year with new Workshops as well!

When one door closes (hosting Guest Artists) then another opens.. (My creativity flows to you)

My Ideas and techniques have been put on the back burner for a while and I am feeling a surge…..

 I thought I would have only enough for right now but have added workshops up through mid February…..

And that is just the beginning!

Resurrection of workshops past and new inspiration as well!

Scrap 2 It has been where we have been renting workshops from for 2011 and will be where my workshops will be held for 2012.

 Change is hard but sometimes necessary….

Sometimes (most often) we cannot see what the change is needed for….. But having Faith and Hope, We can Know the Best is yet to come….

I presented the number of sign ups to Robert.  I heard back from him today saying that he would like to cancel at this point as it will not be cost effective for him to come out.

He is a fabulous teacher and am going to miss having him here as I know you will as well.

I wanted to let you know as soon as I did.

We are done with Guest Artists for this year.  I am working on my workshop schedule and will be adding to the Oct/Nov schedule the following workshops by the end of the weekend.

Hopefully you all survived Friday the 13th!   Mine was uneventful for bad, but I did get some good news!

Long story short, I found myself looking for a new job once again……. I was no longer working for my last employer since the end of April.   Kinda scary since I just bought a house.  But God always does provide.

Anyway, I had an interview last week and got a job offer yesterday, Friday the 13th!  I will start in a couple of weeks, which will give me time to finish unpacking my studio!  I am getting excited to create!

We had a great time in my Basic Soldering workshop last Sunday, which again gets me excited to do art!

My next workshop will be Saturday May 21st 10 am – 5 pm at Denver Bookbinding, I will be teaching my Canvas Journal: Paint, Texture, Transfers, Oh My!

Now the WORKSHOP CHANGES:

Josie Cirincione’s Soldering workshops have been cancelled.  Earlier this month, Josie who has suffered from back problems in the past, hurt her back.

She is doing much better after several injection treatments but this put her on limited duty and playing catch up for the time lost while she could not move.  Please sending healing thoughts and prayers Josie’s way.  I guess it was not meant to be….. The most important thing is that she takes care of herself.

Thank God I booked 2 artists in June, so we won’t be two months art deprived of guest artist workshops!
