Stenciled, Textured Journal w/ Jacqueline Sullivan

In this class, students will make a unique journal, using the long stitch technique.

The journal has blank pages with a leather spine.

The cover is stenciled and textured, then painted.

Each person’s book will be unique!

Students can embellish the leather spine and stitches with beads and fibers, to make it an even more unique book!

Inside pages may be decorated as time allows.

1” paint brush made for acrylics (a golden nylon brush is highly recommended) (AN)

Japanese screw punch with small bit (or similar tool)

water container

Needle with large eye

Cropadile (if they have one) or eyelet setting tool (AN)

heat gun for drying (AN)

Scissors

Pencil
