Beginning Digital Printing on Fabric & Specialty Papers w/ Kathyanne White

Christine says: "Pictures cannot describe the techniques and inspiration that Kathyanne will show us in these workshops. Trust me this will be an pivotal turning point in your artwork for those who want to incoorporate their own imagery and others into their artwork. Kathyanne is the up and coming forerunner in this art medium. A sure treat for all."

This workshop will give the participants the knowledge to digitally print images on fabric and other specialty paper surfaces.

Participants will see how to coat and prepare papers and surfaces such as lutradur, lace paper and other uncommon surfaces in order to get a good quality print for mixed media journals and art.

Learn to use a variety of surfaces in the digital print process from an ink jet printer.

Using an art journal format, we will create small compositions from an assortment of surfaces that have been previously printed.

We will also create from some small prints printed during the workshop.

This is an informative class and will give the participant all the information needed to begin using a digital process in artwork.

Supply List

AN- next to supply means it is available at The Artists' Nook

General art supplies such as glue, scissors or cutter, your favorite writing or drawing tools plus a notebook for notes

Paper you like to use for journaling or a journal you would like to add to.

I will have preprinted journal pages for purchase, optional.

You will receive a hand out of instructions we cover during the class on the printing techniques since we won't be doing that
type of printing in class.

On a cd or jump drive, bring a digital image or 2 that can be used for printing in a 4" x 6" format.

If you do not have something you
would like to use for the class don't worry about it. I will have images ready to print for you to choose from.

There is a .75 charge
for a print in class, so this is optional.

You can bring images already printed.

These images are to be used to design art
journal pages and will be cut up etc, so don't bring an original you want to keep in it's original form, bring copies.

Optional: I will create small packets of digital prints if you would like to purchase some to use during the workshop.

Basic Tool Kit contains: Scissors, or craft knife & cutting mat, pencil, , metal or metal edged ruler, and any other goodies you like to use..
